SakaMboka ("we", "us", "the service") is an AI-powered job application tool that provides job discovery, resume tailoring, and cover letter generation. The service is operated by SakaMboka and available at sakamboka.co.ke.

The service assists users in preparing job applications. It does not guarantee employment, interviews, or responses from employers. All AI-generated content is a starting point — users are responsible for reviewing and verifying any tailored documents before submission.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of the Republic of Kenya to use the service. By registering, you confirm you meet these requirements.

You must register with a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses resulting from compromised credentials.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for an extended period, or are used for fraudulent purposes.

Certain features (resume tailoring, cover letter generation) require application credits, purchased via M-Pesa. Credit pricing is displayed at the time of purchase and denominated in Kenyan Shillings (KES).

• New accounts receive a small number of free credits on registration.
• Credits are non-refundable once consumed by a pipeline operation.
• Unused purchased credits are non-refundable except where required by Kenyan consumer law.
• We reserve the right to change credit pricing with 14 days' notice.

Payments are processed by Safaricom M-Pesa via the Daraja API. We do not store your M-Pesa PIN or mobile money credentials.

You agree not to:

• Use the service to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent job applications.
• Attempt to circumvent credit gating, rate limits, or access controls.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy any part of the service or its output at scale.
• Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or violates third-party rights.
• Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
• Share your account credentials with others.

You retain ownership of the resume, profile, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process and store Your Content solely to provide the service.

AI-generated outputs (tailored resumes, cover letters) are derived from Your Content. Ownership of those outputs belongs to you. We claim no rights to them.

You represent that Your Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.

The service uses third-party AI providers (Google Gemini, Groq) for tailoring and scoring. You may optionally supply your own API keys for these providers. Your keys are stored encrypted at rest and used solely to process your pipeline requests. We do not share your keys with other users.

If you supply your own keys, you are responsible for complying with the respective provider's terms of service and for any costs they incur.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. It is your responsibility to review all output before use. We are not responsible for the outcome of any job application.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SakaMboka's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of employment opportunities, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab of your dashboard. Upon deletion, your personal data and content are removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
